Available wood species

Typical project timelines

We stock sustainably sourced local hardwoods including black walnut, white oak, cherry, and hard maple. Every board is hand selected from local mills for optimal grain match and long-term stability.

Custom commissions typically take two to three weeks for cutting boards and four to six weeks for tabletops from design approval to project completion. This allows proper acclimation of the timber in our workshop and meticulous application of our food-safe oil finish.

Delivery and shipping

Managing wood movement

We offer delivery throughout the Capital District and much of New York and surrounding states. For smaller items like custom cutting boards, we ship safely nationwide.

We use kiln dried lumber and traditional joinery techniques that allow the wood to breathe. Large knots are stabilized to ensure a perfectly flat, durable surface for generations.
